About the Author

I’m Manjunath Pujari, Founder & Editor-in-Chief of KannadaSiri.in – a Kannada journalist and content writer from Belagavi, with over 10 years of experience in both print and digital media. I started my journalism career in 2016, spending the first 3 years in print – learning the basics the old-fashioned way. Deadlines, fact-checking, source verification, the discipline of getting things right the first time because there was no “edit” button after the paper went to press. That foundation still shapes how I work today.

For the last 7.5+ years, I’ve been writing full-time for digital news platforms, and in that time I’ve published more than 6,000 articles across various Kannada websites. That’s roughly two to three articles a day, every working day, for years – and each one has taught me something new about how to serve readers better.

Education

I completed my Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) from Rani Channamma University (RCU), Belagavi – the same city I still call home and write from.

Why I Moved to Digital

The honest reason? I wanted independence. Print journalism taught me a lot, but digital gave me the freedom to choose what I write about, how fast I publish, and who I write for. It let me build something of my own – which eventually became KannadaSiri.in – instead of working inside someone else’s structure. That shift has been the best decision of my career.

What I Write About

Over the years, I’ve narrowed my focus to topics that genuinely affect people’s daily lives in Karnataka:

  • Government Schemes: Central and state welfare programs, eligibility, application steps, and benefits, explained in simple Kannada.
  • Recruitment News: Government job notifications, exam dates, application links, and selection processes.
  • Educational News: SSLC and 2nd PUC results, board updates, admission notifications, and KSEAB / DPUE announcements.
  • Scholarships: Central, state, and private scholarship opportunities for Kannada students.
  • Tech News: Smartphones, apps, digital services, and tech updates relevant to Indian users.
  • Auto News: New car and bike launches, prices, mileage, EV updates, and automobile industry news.
  • Agriculture News: Farming schemes, crop advisories, MSP updates, subsidies, and government support for Karnataka farmers.
  • Latest News: Verified updates on developments affecting Karnataka and India.

The Work I’m Most Proud Of

Some of my most widely read articles have been on Karnataka’s biggest welfare schemes – Gruha Jyoti, Anna Bhagya, and Gruha Lakshmi. These are schemes that touch millions of households across the state, and I’ve watched my articles on them get shared, saved, and acted on by readers who needed clear answers about eligibility and application steps. Knowing that a single well-written piece helped someone successfully apply for free electricity, free rice, or monthly financial assistance – that’s the kind of impact that keeps me writing.

Most government notifications are written in a way that’s hard for ordinary people to understand. My job, as I see it, is to fix that.

Always Learning

Journalism isn’t a profession where you ever stop being a student. I’m still learning new things every day – new schemes, new technologies, new ways readers want information delivered – and I share news with my readers based on what I learn along the way. The day I stop learning is the day I stop being useful to the people who read my work.

Editorial Standards

As Editor-in-Chief of KannadaSiri.in, every article published on the site is based on official sources – government notifications, department websites, and verified announcements. I cross-check facts before publishing, update articles when new information comes out, and avoid clickbait. If I’m not sure about something, I don’t publish it. It’s a slower way to work, but it’s the only way I know how.

Reach and Trust

Articles I’ve written have been read by millions of Kannada readers over the years. That reach isn’t something I take lightly. People often act on what they read here – applying for a scheme, submitting a job form, checking a result – and that responsibility is what shapes every article I write.

In Closing

Ten years in, I’m still doing this for the same reason I started: a reader in a small town deserves the same quality of information as anyone in Bengaluru or Delhi. As long as that gap exists, there’s work to do.
